Biography

Raised on a farm in Strawberry Plains, Tennessee; I have been an artist since childhood. I earned my art degree from Agnes Scott Womens College graduating cum laude in 2000. I have been a proud New Mexican since 2001. I love painting with oil, creating pen and ink illustrations, making unique and funky textile items including up-cycled fashion, and all manner of craftiness. I have participated in numerous art shows, completed a ton of commission paintings and drawings, given art lessons, created album and flyer art for local musicians, done custom costuming, and designed, produced, and sold handbags across the country. In 2009 I opened The Talking Fountain Art Gallery. After several years my husband and I opened the TFK Smokehouse Food Truck and then Restaurant. Currently I own a small gift shop and art studio in Cedar Crest, New Mexico called Strawberry Moon Market. It is a wide ranging and light hearted collection of local art, jewelry, handbags, coffee mugs and tumblers, glass, Demascus steel knives, up-cycled flannels and jean jackets, and much more. I have truly fallen in love with hosting Paint Night events! It feels wonderful to share my love of painting with people looking to get creative and have fun.
